Love Brings Them to Jesus

This is part 1 of "Love Your Neighbor," our series at Fusion Christian Church where we learn all about the different ways to show love for others. In part 1, Pastor Zac teaches us that loving our neighbors means we should bring them to Jesus. The main passage for this message is the story of the paralytic in Mark chapter 2, in which the friends of the paralyzed man make every effort to bring him before Jesus. Follow along as we ask the question: What does it look like when you love your neighbor?

You're loving your neighbor when you tell them about Jesus.

If you want to love your neighbor, the most important first step is to tell them about Jesus. Everyone needs to know the gospel, and to hear it, someone needs to tell them about it. It is the duty of every Christian to share the gospel with those around them.

You're loving your neighbor when you help them encounter the preaching of God's word.

When the word of God is preached, God uses it to speak to the hearts of those who listen. Often we think of preaching as something that only pastors do, but the proclaiming of the gospel is something which can and should be done by all Christians, whether from a stage or in a conversation.

You're loving your neighbor when you're not afraid to do the awkward.

Do not be afraid to have awkward conversations with people! Awkwardness is temporary, but eternity is forever. If you neglect to share the gospel with someone because you're afraid it might be awkward, you might come to regret it later. Don't be full of regret, and don't be afraid to be a little awkward!

You're loving your neighbor when you bring them to a place where God gets the glory.

When someone's life is changed by the gospel, it is not a private event. Instead, that changed life becomes a testimony of the glory of God. By bringing people to Jesus, you create opportunity for their lives to be changed and for God to be glorified.

How can you love your neighbor this week?
